What is it?
It is a cute little serum made with liquorice to make our freckled or reddened skin bright and the most important – calm.
Recovers skin tone and reduces redness through clarifying and brightening effects. /It’s Skin/
Serum comes in 30 ml glass bottle with pipette applicator. It is yellow, thick(ish) viscous liquid of faint liquorice scent. Applies smoothly and absorbs into skin rather quickly.
How to use it?
Use after cleansing and toning stage. Dispense adequate amount and apply onto face. /It’s Skin/
Suggested use is once a day in the evening skin care regimen, but I sometimes use it in my morning skin care and it works just fine.
Water, Glycyrrhiza, Glabra (Licorice) Root Extract, Butylene Glycol, Glycerin, Dipropylene Glycol, Carbomer, Ethyl Hexanediol, Triethanolamine, Ethylhexylglycerin, Polyglutamic Acid, Disodium EDTA
Liquorice root extract is the star ingredient here. It is dipped into water and then added some skin conditioners and serum texture enhancers.
Liquorice root extract is known by its brightening properties when used in skin care. It is especially good for red, sensitive skin, rosacea skin in particular, as it has soothing properties, too. Glabridin is one of its components, which is very powerful antioxidant.
Yes. Actually, this serum should alleviate symptoms.
Who is it for?
All skin types, sensitive, red, hyperpigmentation issues
Does it work?
This is not a revolutionary product that will sweep you off your feet, but this is my second bottle and I always make sure I have it somewhere in my stash, as I don’t want to be without it. So, I guess it works, at some level.
Rosacea likes liquorice. They are friends, and I help nourish that friendship. If your rosacea is mild to moderate type, this serum could help you alleviate symptoms over time.
My rosacea is more of a stubborn, bumpy type (actually it is crazy, angry, unpredictable typhoon that will come out of nowhere and make my life miserable if it finds something unacceptable, like, er, breathing :eyeroll: ) , and I can verify, this serum does help a bit. Not revolutionary, like I said, but I can tell the difference in skin texture and the level of red tone in my skin.
So, I will not let my sweet tooth rosacea be without its favourite treat.
